INVITATION TO REGISTER:

WE INVITE YOU TO REGISTER FOR OUR CLASSES! (Click Here for Formal Letter)

Dear Families of St. Joseph Parish,

I hope this finds your family doing well as we approach mid-September. As you may know, we have ongoing classes for returning and new students.  Returning means students who have already received sacraments. We look forward to having our students return to class for grades 7 to 12!  I know that Ms. Carol Lujan looks forward to having students start or return for grades 1 to 6.

In addition to this note, I have attached information in regard to registration for 2020-2021 at St. Joseph Parish. The registration forms I have attached in PDF are for grades 1 to 6 for Faith Formation; grades 7 and 8 for Middle School Ministry; and grades 9 to 12 for Youth Ministry (1st year preparation for Confirmation).  You are welcome to share this information with families who may be interested.  Forms can be downloaded from this link: https://bit.ly/3mf9fvw.  This letter is in the same folder as the forms.

Classes will begin the week of October 12.  Registration for grades 7 to 12 begins this week and will close the first week of November.  Registration for grades 1 to 6 began on September 1. Please complete the 2 page form for each child; turn in forms and payments as soon as you can to the Parish Center during office hours – 2100 Pear St. Pinole, Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 PM. The Parish Center is across from the Pinole Post Office.

In the light of our current COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting and doing our best to keep our young people, catechists, families, and staff safe. Details of this, class guidelines and the class schedule will be shared by email as we receive registration forms from families. We will additionally go over these changes when we meet by Zoom during the first two weeks of classes. As explained on the registration forms, classes for Middle School Ministry and Youth Ministry will meet at least 2-3 times a month through distance learning.

We will wait to hear from the state, county, and the diocese of when we may be able to return to in person classes and what format we will adopt for class. Know that we may need to halt in-person faith formation with minimal notice should a significant COVID-19 outbreak occur or directly impact many of our youth, families, or volunteers. We will do our best to communicate with you quickly and thoroughly. The primary form of communication is by email.
